Our integrated team of licensed professionals deliver all related services tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Unique to Meliora, we deliver all therapeutic services within the school with in-house professionals. Our interdisciplinary team collaborates daily to ensure each student receives consistent, coordinated care - with minimal transitions and maximum support.

Speech & Language Therapy
Helping Students Communicate and Connect
Meliora Academy’s Speech-Language Pathology Team helps students build the functional communication skills students with Autism need to succeed.
Key areas include:
- Language Therapy: Strengthening expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills
- Feeding Therapy: Addressing challenges with chewing, swallowing, and safe eating
- Assistive Technology Coordinator (AAC) Support: Offering high- and low-tech alternatives to support communication
- Relatedness Therapy: Building social communication skills for deeper peer and adult connections
Occupational Therapy
Building Life Skills for Independence
Meliora’s Occupational Therapists help students develop the fine motor, visual, sensory, and self-care skills they need to navigate daily life at school, at home, and in the community.
Focus areas include:
- Fine motor coordination and visual-motor integration
- Sensory processing and regulation
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) like grooming, dressing, cooking, and cleaning
- Practice in real-life settings: sensory room, kitchen, laundry room, mock bedroom, and more
- On-site vocational/work-based skill-building at our student-run coffee shop, Meliora Mocha
Physical Therapy
Supporting Strength, Stability, and Confidence
Our Physical Therapists work with students to improve gross motor coordination, mobility, and physical endurance. We create engaging opportunities for movement and sensory regulation, helping students participate more fully in classroom and community life.
