About Meliora Academy
Meliora Academy is a private educational program designed to provide intensive and comprehensive educational services to students with autism spectrum and related disorders. Our special education program provides students with an integrated curriculum model that is designed to meet the individualized needs of all students.
Our Application Process
Our admissions process is designed to carefully evaluate each student’s needs. Through visits, record reviews, and collaboration with districts, we ensure that placements at Meliora Academy are thoughtful and well-supported.
Meliora Academy accepts students on a rolling basis when vacancies exist, and when prospective students are determined appropriate for our educational environment
We require all prospective students and their parents/guardians to visit the school and interview with the school administration and selected members of the educational team to determine their candidacy.
In addition to the school visit, our team does a thorough review of prospective students’ records, and in many cases, further discussions are needed with the sending Local Educational Agencies (LEA) and parents prior to determining placement at Meliora.
All students at Meliora Academy are enrolled through a district referral process, and a Planning and Placement Team meeting must occur prior to placement.
